Software Development – Plant Automation - HMI (Human Machine Interface) Technician

Worked as part of an engineering team to develop, or convert existing user interfaces for power plants and waste water treatment facilities. Built on my past experience working for ABB from 1996 to 1999 by learning the latest ABB software such as Symphony+ Engineering.

  • Created new HMI graphics for the platforms known as Conductor VMS and Symphony Plus (S+)
  • Reviewed the work of remote engineering centers such as India and Mexico to ensure quality
  • Solved unique graphical programming issues

Gauge Calibration Technician

Performed all aspects of calibration including: purchasing and testing of all gauges, along with maintaining an audit ready system of calibration records.

  • Calibrated the following gauge types: Temperature, Torque, Pressure, Flow, Calipers, and Micrometers
  • Power user of our Gauge Application and Excel to generate reports of gauges due for calibration and to track use and assignment of calibrated gauges
  • Transformed physical filing system to online system of scanned documents

Channelpoint/Insurequote

Programmer - comparative insurance rating software

As an Auto Insurance Programmer I was responsible for programming rate revisions and company updates for ChannelPoint’s comparative rating software. The programs I maintained are known as “Solution” and “Agency Suite”. The purpose of this software is to allow insurance agents and companies to compare their insurance rates against the competition and offer the consumer the most competitive rates.

  • Learned to program in Turbo Pascal
  • tested completed software for accuracy
  • Participated in team environment with agents and data entry associates

Pothole Tracker

This was our final project at Tech Elevator and is hosted on ApphHarbor. This project really gave meaning to "Full Stack". We used C#, MVC, Google Map API, HTML, CSS, Jquery, Bootstrap, Ninject and SQL. Go to the login page and log in as a City Worker to see all the features.

Guessing Game

A guessing game using C#, MVC, HTML, and CSS featuring a SQL database with two tables. you just enter a word and if it matches one of the secret words stored on the server you get rewarded with a corresponding animated .gif The current list of words is: cat, kitten, dog, puppy, butterfly, tweety and my favorite "test".
